Bush sees bright future for New Orleans

August 30, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

Two years after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on New Orleans, President Bush visited the still-ravaged city to mark the anniversary. He says he sees brighter days ahead for the city. Well, after two years, I certainly hope so. The government sure didn’t make the recovery easy on the city, did they? There are still tons of devastated and boarded up homes and businesses. Only 60 percent of the original population has returned to live in the city.

HD Stock Footage

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

There is a great place to get high definition video stock footage for any use, and it is at www.AlwaysHD.com! When you get stock footage from this site, you are getting all of the clips sold “royalty free,” meaning that you do not have to specify and adhere to a pre-ordained set of usage limitations. Once you buy the HD stock footage clip, you can use it worldwide for any length of time! That is a lot better than paying every time that you use it. That is why AlwaysHD.com is ahead of the rest. When you are getting stock footage, you want it to be HD now, because that is what everyone is buying when they buy televisions, and the industry is growing bigger every day!

Republican Senator pleaded guilty of disorderly conduct

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

Senator Larry Craig, Republican of Idaho, pleaded guilty of disorderly conduct in June for an incident in an airport bathroom. Apparently, a plain-clothes police officer said he made lewd gestures, but didn’t get any more specific. Craig paid over $500 in fines and fees, and a ten-day jail sentence was stayed.

Spider Veins

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog 1 Comment →

It is a horribly awful thing when you start to get spider veins, or varicose veins. It is embarrassing to wear shorts outside of the house, and that can make it very uncomfortable in the summer months.

In Phoenix there is a medical spa that specializes in varicose vein laser therapy, cellulite reduction, laser hair removal, and microdermabrasion treatment.

I know this from sort of experience, because a few people in my family actually have varicose veins, and they hate to wear shorts in front of anyone. It just gets too hot sometimes to wear regular pants everywhere!

Check out this excellent medical spa, and start living comfortable again!

No End in Sight a must-see

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

It’s so easy to get sick and tired of being sick and tired of politicians and the war in Iraq. But we can’t give up or forget why we’re fighting for peace. If you need a reminder, go see the new documentary about the war called No End in Sight. Not only does it give a level-headed explanation of how we ended up where we are, it is written and directed by Charles Ferguson, a political scientist from MIT. This isn’t a Michael-Moore in-your-face-we-can-shout-louder-than-you-can expose, but a rational, level-headed documentary that will remind you why we need to get our men and women out of there.

Coupon Chief Saves Christmas!

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

Oh my goodness, is it not just crazy that we are already coming up upon Halloween, which means only a couple of short months until Christmas! This year’s holiday season is coming up fast! I was thinking about what I would like to get a few people for Christmas.

For my mom and step dad I would love to give them a new HDTV from Circuit City, their old television is kind of crappy. (There was a lack of better words.) Coupon Chief has Circuit City coupons, that could be very useful for this project!

My brother loves his dog, so I think it would be great to get him something for Ace. Coupon Chief has PetCo promotions as well!

Coupon Chief is going to be the saving grace for me this holiday season, they will save me so much money with their promo codes for different places, that I will be able to buy more stuff! (For myself, just kidding!)

Generals disagree about troop levels

August 29, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

One top general is calling for Bush to cut troops in Iraq by half next year, another is saying we need to maintain higher troop levels through 2008 at least. Who knows what will happen, but I say we all throw our support behind the one who is in favor of getting half of our men and women out of there, for Pete’s sake.

Beautiful Wedding Dresses

August 28, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

I adore wedding dresses that do not look the ‘same’ as everyone else. By same I mean run of the mill white and sparkly dresses. There is an awesome wedding dress that I found on www.TheBridalShop.com that is made by Allie Renee by Mon Cheri Wedding Dresses and Gowns. It is beautifully and subtly filled with flowers. I will include a picture at the end of this post, so you can see how beautiful it is!

I am already married but I want it! This is one of those dresses you wish you could have so that you could just sit in the mirror all day and look at yourself!

This is one of the wedding dresses that I was talking about that would not look like everyone else. The next person I know that is getting married is getting a huge suggestion from me to get a dress like this (if not exactly this one!)

I love looking at wedding dresses, if you share this passion with me check out the selection they have at www.TheBridalShop.com so some lucky bride will get your advice as well! *wink*

Republican senator may back Dems timetable for withdrawal

August 28, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

John Warner, Republican senator from Virginia, has announced that he may support the Democrats legislation calling for a timetable for withdrawal if Bush doesn’t announce his own timetable soon. About bloody time some of the Republicans step up to the table. Warner would like to see the first of the troops home by Christmas.

Awesome Modern Clocks!

August 28, 2007 By: damdanger Category: Blog No Comments →

I have always wanted a really nice grandfather clock. The only problem is, they usually do not fit the motif of my home, which is very modern. Recently I found that Howard Miller clocks offer some awesome grandfather clocks in black colors, and modern designs. I was so stoked to hear this news, because this will fit in my motif!

The Urban Floor III grandfather clock by Howard Miller clocks would look the very best in my home, and I would like to put it in my dining room, in a spot all by itself. A great piece of work like this must be displayed with no interruption from anything else, so I would have it against the wall with nothing beside it for at least four or five feet.  This clock is sleek and stylish!

My grandmother bought a Howard Miller grandfather clock a couple of years ago, it is an excellent grandfather clock, it works really well. She said that my dad will inherit it when she is gone, he is very happy to be inheriting such an amazing clock.

Have you ever just been curious about these types of grandfather clocks, or any clocks of this quality? There is a blog just for information about clocks! You can find very interesting articles like “Clocks Are More Than For Telling Time - They Have PERSONALITY!” which will tell you about what clocks say about you when people see them in your home. The site is a very interesting read, and if you are unsure what type of clock you want, read the articles about clocks!

If you are like me and have always wanted an amazing clock, but were not sure about it fitting in your home décor, make sure you check out the different ones available, you are SURE to find one that will fit exactly what you want!
