It doesn’t seem to matter whether Congress is controlled by Democrats or Republicans. Neither party can seem to pass a budget appropriations bill on time. The new fiscal year begins next Monday for the government, and now Bush needs Congress to pass a temporary spending bill in order to keep the government functioning.

My dog Lexi could sure use some dog training! I am having a hard time training her to not run out of the house, and to stop trying to bust out my window to eat the mail lady. It has become more of a chore than fun having a dog around the house, because she just does not listen! President Bush apparently has an opinion about the race for the Democratic nomination for president in 2008, and according to him, it doesn’t look good for Barack Obama. Bush believes that Hillary Clinton will get the Democratic nomination, but that the Republican nominee will beat her in the election. Of course he’s going to say that. What’s he gonna say: We Republicans have screwed things up so badly that we haven’t a chance in hell?

Remote Control Helicopters look like so much fun to play with! I am thinking this would be an excellent Christmas present for my nephew, he loves planes, trains, and anything that moves! I want to get him one of their RC Helicopters that comes ready to run, all he has to do is open it, and it is ready to fly! Does Vice President Cheney just like the idea of war? Newsweek is now reporting that at one time, Cheney thought - and talked - about getting Israel to attack an Iranian nuclear site. His intent was to provoke a war between Iran and Israel that would mean the US would have to go to war with Iran in order to honor our treaty with Israel. I think he thinks that war is like playing chess - you move your pieces around the board. But these aren’t chess pieces - these are American lives he’s playing with.

At a Palmetto Family Council straw poll, Rudy Giuliani was booed because didn’t bother to show up. John McCain phoned in his appearance; Mitt Romney appeared on video. This didn’t seem to really help them much, however. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee won the straw poll; Ron Paul came in second, Fred Thompson came in third.
